Last Day of School

Yesterday was Christian's last day of kindergarten! As always, the final school day was not so much a learning day. It consisted mostly of packing things up, signing autographs and having a party (including face painting). Christian asked me if I would attend the party (naturally, he asked me this at bedtime on Wednesday night, giving me no time to prepare). The best I could do was to leave work at 2:00. I missed the party itself, but arrived in time for the outside play time and all-school ice cream social. Afterward, Christian and I sat on a bench under a tree and looked through his year book and talked about his kindergarten experience. It was a great day. I can't believe I have a FIRST GRADER now!
